Read MoreEveryday hair styling can feel monotonous. Up styles, braids, down styles, etc., are limited in my repertoire. For this reason, I often draw inspiration for hairstyles from celebrities. Celebrities have entire teams of stylists and artists dedicated to keeping their hair interesting. For this weekend, my hair inspiration is none other than singer, actress, and former Marie Claire cover star Ariana DeBose.
DeBose has been on a roll lately. Having had great success in musicals such as "Hamilton" and "West Side Story," DeBose has recently been doing press work for Argyle and I.S.S. She has also been a member of the "I.S.S." team for the past two years. For the interview, she wore her long black hair in a stylish, slicked-back low ponytail, parted down the middle.
The trendy look was unique in that the bangs hung loose on one side, creating a more interesting and asymmetrical silhouette to the classic style. The back hair is wrapped around a ponytail holder.
DeBose's style was courtesy of Taqisha Sturdivant Drew, celebrity hairstylist and founder of hair extension brand TSD Hair Extensions. Drew used her own brand of extensions to elongate DeBose's ponytail, resulting in a seamless, chic look.
