Tonight is Jacob Elordy's night. (Also, tonight's musical guest is Rene Rapp, yes, that's right.) So, Elordi has been interviewed by the press this week, and thanks to his comments on this talk show and that talk show, a third season of Euphoria is actually going to happen, despite the fact that sometimes it feels like the opposite is true. (The second season ended in February 2022, almost two full years ago, and yet a third season is not expected until 2025.)

Apparently, Elodie is concerned that the time between seasons has aged her from playing teenager Nate Jacobs. I hope [filming] will be over soon. Otherwise, they'll have to make me Benjamin Button or something," he joked on a recent appearance on "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" (via E. News). 'My back's going to hurt when I walk down the hallway.'

In case you're wondering, Eroldi is 26 years old and subsequently addressed rumors that the third season would include a time jump that would take his high school character into adulthood. 'Otherwise, it would be kind of weird,' he said.

Since its premiere in 2019, Eroldi has also received acclaim for films like Saltburn and Priscilla, and has a very, very well-known fan base." The biggest would be Leonardo DiCaprio." He said." It may sound like a crazy name drop. But yes, it's Leonardo DiCaprio." DiCaprio said, "When I was much younger, he came up to me in one of the clubs. There was loud music playing, and he said, 'Hey, here's your shot from the first season. And it was just him and me, talking about camera angles in this club." No one was shocked, but Elodie said of DiCaprio, "He's the GOAT."

So, as we eagerly await Season 3, we can pass the time by soaking in the viral candle inspired by that bathtub scene in "Salt Burn". Fallon, being the interviewer that he is, handed one of the candles to Eroldi to smell, and after imitating Barry Keoghan's throaty sound (you can tell by watching the movie), he said, "It smells like a laundry room, like detergent."

Interesting.

And in "Hibike! Euphoria" season 3 will likely feature Elordi (as well as co-stars Zendaya and Sydney Sweeney), but we won't be seeing Angus Cloud on screen after his tragic death last summer. Barbie Ferreira will also not return to the set. She said on her podcast "Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard," referring to herself and showrunner Sam Levinson, "I feel like season two and certain parts of it have been a kind of struggle for both of them." She added, "I had a hard time finding the rest of her (Kat Hernandez, her character). So it really hurt me to see that and to see the fans so upset." Sam writes what she can relate to. I don't think it has anything to do with Kat. I like Kat, so I go my own way. At first I was like, 'Oh, I'm a failure. I'm a loser. It was a really good thing,'" she said of her exit from the show.

Now, though, we're still thinking about time jumps. Elodie's comments seem to bear that out, but it's not the first time we've heard about it. Heidi Vivens, the show's costume designer, told Vogue that season 3 may take place half a decade after season 2. 'Dorothy is no longer in Kansas. Dorothy is not in Kansas anymore. But knowing Sam's brain, it will be exciting. It will be a new discovery for the audience."

Zendaya seemed to acknowledge this in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter. "I think it's exciting to explore a character who has graduated from high school. I want to see what [her character] Lou will look like on his sobriety journey and how chaotic it will be." But I also want to see all the characters in terms of figuring out what they're going to do with their lives once they graduate high school and what kind of people they want to be," she says. What was special about (season two) was that we were able to explore (the other characters) in more depth. I think we can do that again in the third season. There's a lot of talent out there, and we want to give everyone that chance."

As for whether the third season will be the last, Casey Bloys, chairman and CEO of HBO and Max Content, would neither confirm nor deny. Zendaya is obviously a huge movie star," he said. And Zendaya is obviously a big movie star. But it also depends on the story Sam wants to tell. He's in the middle of writing season three right now, and we're going to leave it to him to discuss what he wants to do."
