Prince Harry and Meghan Markle extend an "olive branch" to Prince Charles and Princess Kate.

According to the Mirror, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have extended their sympathies to Prince Charles and Princess Meghan Markle following news of their health concerns. Prince Charles is scheduled to be hospitalized this week to undergo surgery to correct a benign prostate enlargement, and Kate will undergo abdominal surgery this Tuesday and is expected to be in the hospital for up to two weeks.

The Mirror reported that the gesture "would be considered an olive branch" and quoted sources as saying that "the King and Queen have received support regarding Prince Harry and Meghan's health. The Duke and Duchess have contacted both of them in various ways to express their concerns and best wishes."

This so-called olive branch is the right move, says Dickie Arbiter, former press secretary to Queen Elizabeth. 'It's good that she recognizes that her sister-in-law is obviously going to have serious surgery and that her father is 75 years old. 'It is right to acknowledge that. I am delighted for Queen Catherine and the King; it is unusual and unprecedented for two senior royals to be hospitalized at the same time."

January is typically quiet on the royal front, and it makes sense that both surgeries are now being performed as soon as possible."

What does Her late Majesty the Queen think of the ongoing reconciliation? Arbiter said, "The Queen would always have wanted to see a renewal of relations, but she would not have seen it happen while she was alive." 'There were too many other things going on.'
