Tiffany Haddish reveals in candid new interview that she has experienced eight miscarriages.

Tiffany Haddish opened up about a very painful experience: she revealed that she has had a total of eight miscarriages.

In an interview with the Washington Post, the comedian recounted a phone call with her doctor after one miscarriage (it is unclear if the reporter witnessed the call or if Haddish spoke later).

"I'm going to be honest with you. This is my eighth." My uterus is shaped like a heart. My uterus is shaped like a heart.'

Haddish also told the interviewer that she had only talked to one friend about her miscarriage experience and mostly tried to handle it alone.

"Are you okay?" And "Are you okay?" I don't want people to say. I want to cave in alone, like a wounded animal."

"I want to be alone, like a wounded animal. We lick each other's wounds."

The actress also revealed that she is considering adoption and may even take in a five-year-old instead of a younger child, but is still wavering due to her own difficult growing up experiences and hectic schedule.

Haddish is one of a handful of courageous celebrities, along with Chrissy Teigen, Kourtney Kardashian, Jennifer Aniston, and Gabrielle Union, who have spoken out widely on the issue of miscarriage and infertility in recent years.

Celebrities speaking out about difficult topics may seem innocuous, but it has great potential to help those dealing with similar situations in their own lives, and I am personally very grateful to these brave women.
