Since the breakup of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Spotify deal and the Netflix documentary's failure to win the latest Emmy nomination, there have been many theories about the pair's next career move.

One of Princess Meghan's leading theories is that she wants to return to acting, which was her profession before meeting Harry and eventually joining the royal family, but to one royal biographer, that may not be the right move for the Duchess of Sussex.

"I don't think it's the right next step, and I don't think she was doing it," Christopher Andersen told Us Weekly (via Express). [Like Grace Kelly and Princess Grace, there was always talk of her returning to acting. I think she wants to be a force in society."

Given the Duchess' previous projects, especially her podcast Archetypes, Andersen's point seems quite valid, but of course we won't know what Meghan has in mind until she announces it herself.

Still, acting seems like a fairly viable next step for the Duchess, given that she signed with a major Hollywood talent agency in April.

After news of her absence from the Sussex Emmys broke, media commentator Mark Boardman hypothesized that Duchess Meghan would be giving much thought to a return to acting.

"Princess Meghan is obviously concerned about her children, but acting will definitely be in the pipeline," he said. She wants to be taken seriously as a movie star, and 'Suits' probably didn't get the kind of recognition she was hoping for."
