Prince William surprises royal fans by serving hamburgers at a food truck.

Imagine a scene: you are on your lunch break and go to a nearby gathering of food stalls to get a delicious hamburger. But as you are about to take your food from the busy chef, you suddenly realize that the server for the day is Prince William.

While it may sound rather far-fetched, this bizarre scenario actually happened to a group of lucky diners who sampled what they called an "earth shot burger."

After they had somewhat recovered from their initial shock, the Prince of Wales explained exactly how this burger came to be.

"The Earthshot Awards are about repairing and restoring the earth. Everything you see here came from last year's winners, and the box you are about to eat was made by a company called Notpla, and they don't use any plastic. They came up with the seaweed coating," William explained to diners in a YouTube video on the "Sorted Food" channel.

"The ingredients in the burger are grown in a greenhouse in India by a company called Kheyti. And finally, the way we cooked them is called Mukuru Clean Stoves, which was designed by a Kenyan woman. [I can't guarantee the taste or quality, but that's up to Kush and Evers."

One diner who noticed that the real prince was serving said, "It took three seconds for my brain to buffer. Am I dreaming?

They went on to comment on the initiative, "I think about the environment, the planet, how food is made, how packaging is made."

Meanwhile, William wrote on Instagram, "#EarthShotBurger anyone?

"A special collaboration using @earthshotprize's special solution to create a unique @sortedfood recipe."
