Prince Harry Planning Netflix Documentary About Africa Without Meghan Markle

Marie Claire recently reported that Meghan Markle may be going pro with a "one-woman show," and it appears that Prince Harry may also be going independent with some projects.

According to Page Six, Harry is working with Netflix on a documentary about Africa, but Meghan is not involved in the project. The magazine reports, "Harry's potential trip to Africa will inevitably be seen as following in the footsteps of his mother, Princess Diana, who visited Africa to campaign for the eradication of landmines shortly before her death."

While it is not yet known what exactly the documentary will be about, Harry is still unable to move forward with the project due to the ongoing Hollywood writers' strike. In fact, Harry and Meghan fell in love on a trip to Botswana early in their relationship.

"Obviously Harry has a lot of roots in Africa, and he feels at home there," says one insider, while a Netflix source admitted to Page Six that this is one of several ideas Harry is discussing with the streaming service.

"This is a place where I feel more like myself than anywhere else in the world," Harry said of his love for Africa in 2017." I wish I could spend more time in Africa."

In addition to this new project, "Heart of Invictus," a documentary about Harry's Invictus Games, will be released next month; the two are also working on "Great" for Netflix, following the huge success of last year's "Harry & Meghan" documentary They are also said to be working together on a series inspired by "Expectations" for Netflix, following the success of last year's "Harry & Meghan" documentary.

However, Princess Meghan has been extremely busy, and rumors continue to swirl about the possibility of her own memoir, like Harry's Spare, which was released earlier this year. If published, royal family expert Camilla Tominey told OK, "there would be a huge upheaval."
