Lea Michele pays beautiful tribute to Cory Monteith 10 years after his tragedy

"Glee" star Cory Monteith passed away 10 years ago on July 13, 2013, at the age of 31.

Co-star Lea Michele, who was dating Monteith at the time of his death, wrote a loving tribute to Monteith on Instagram on Thursday.

She wrote: "10 years. 10 years. It feels like yesterday that you were here and a million years ago at the same time."

"I hold all of our memories in my heart.

"We miss you every day and will never forget the light you gave to all of us. We miss you big man. We hope you found Taylor over there and are banging the drums with him."

Michelle's friends joined in the comments to show their love for her and Monteith.

"Such a tragic loss of such a good human being. Damn addicted man. If anyone is suffering from this horrible disease, look up AA. Saved my life...Xo," said John Stamos.

Becca Tobin of Glee wrote, "Love you."

Jamie-Lynn Sigler added, "Love you so much."

According to USA Today, Monteith was found dead of a heroin and alcohol overdose at the Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel in Vancouver in 2013.

Michele and Monteith first admitted to dating in February 2012 and dated until Monteith's tragic death.

In December 2013, Michele confided in Ellen DeGeneres about dealing with her grief over losing Monteith. She said of being on set after his death, "The grief is with you every day. No matter what you're doing. There are great moments and there are hard moments. So for me, I like to work with loved ones who are going through the same thing." She said the cast of "Glee" supported each other through the process of overcoming grief.
