Prince Louis "very upset" to miss Wimbledon.

On the final day of Wimbledon, the Princess of Wales was not only an avid tennis fan and accomplished tennis player herself, but also a patron of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club since 2016. Her husband Prince William and their two eldest daughters, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, also made their Wimbledon debuts. (Kate's youngest son, Prince Louis, has yet to make his Wimbledon debut, but his mother wore a casual tribute to him during yesterday's appearance.)

It was Charlotte's first Wimbledon, but George's second. Kate wore a Roland Mouret dress that day, and George and Charlotte had a "Welsh blue" theme (in case you haven't noticed, the five members of the Welsh family wear a lot of blue). William was in a light gray linen suit.

As part of her duties as patron, Kate presented the winner of the men's singles final with the iconic gold Wimbledon trophy (the day before, she had presented the Venus Rosewater Dish to the winner of the women's singles final, Marketa Bondrusova). The men's singles final was all settled between Carlos Alcaraz and Novak Djokovic, and as of this writing, the match is still on.

According to People, "George was as giddy as any child would be when he saw the Wimbledon trophy up close.

The Mirror reported that the crowd cheered as the four were seated in the royal box on center court. And while the Welsh four and the crowd seemed happy, there is a five-year-old boy in England today who is incredibly not happy. According to Ella Ottaway, children, youth, and family coordinator at Wimbledon, Kate said, "This is Charlotte's first time. George came last year. This is Charlotte's first time. Charlotte, you're getting a sense of the scoring' Louis was very upset that he couldn't come today"

.

The reason for Louis' absence today appears to be his young age. George, who made his Wimbledon debut last year, is nearly 9 years old, while Charlotte is 8. However, according to 16-year-old Wimbledon ball boy Joel (from the Daily Express), Kate said that Louis is practicing to be a ball boy himself: "He [Louis] practices standing and trying to be serious, just like us." Joel said. (What do you mean Louis is serious?) "He's practicing his stands and practicing how we stand behind the court and beside the players. Maybe Louis practices at Anmer Hall, the Welsh family's country house where the tennis courts are set up.

In addition to the experience of just being there, the Mirror reported that George and Charlotte were handed goodie bags upon arrival and given gifts to remember the day by.

Making her Wimbledon debut, Charlotte wore a $226 blue and white floral friqui alitas dress handmade in Spain. Her white ballerina shoes, fastened with a central buckle and strap, were Papouelli's Siena, priced between $111 and $115. She accessorized with dusty pink sunglasses from Leosun's Flyers.
