Prince George's favorite band shows its wild side

Of the three children of the Welsh family, Prince George seems to be seen as the calm, stoic and reserved one. But he also has a rebellious side, reports the Mirror: AC/DC and Led Zeppelin. (Not bad taste for a 9-year-old!)

When greeting Coronation concert-goers in May, George's father, Prince William, revealed George's favorite to Caroline Mulvihill, a member of Windsor & Maidenhead's rock choir. She said, "We were talking about what kind of music they play in the rock choir, and Will mentioned that music tastes are very diverse in their household and that George is very into AC/DC and Led Zeppelin."

George himself takes more electric guitar lessons than acoustic, and already plays full-contact rugby, according to the Mirror. In other aspects of his life, he is described as "very pleasant but sensible."

He is also apparently not afraid to ask for what he wants. When George was chosen as one of the eight chief attendants at the coronation of his grandfather King Charles, he reportedly asked if he could replace his "outdated" white breeches with trousers. The king agreed with his grandson, and all the chamberlains were to wear black wool trousers. This is probably not the last time George will defy royal tradition. The "Marie Claire" reported earlier today that George has opened the door to his own destiny more than any heir before him, including forgoing military service if he wishes to do so.

Visiting Aintree University Hospital in Liverpool, William told his eldest patient, "George had it really easy. He said, "Do I have to do this for the rest of my life?" I didn't say that."

Of the future king, a member of the Hurlingham Club, an exclusive private social club, said, "George is not so timid, but while Charlotte and Louis are rushing forward, he is hanging back. He takes his time. He is more cautious."

The club members also note that "he is more cautious.

On his milestone 10th birthday Saturday, George will celebrate with a birthday party at his Windsor mansion with a group of close friends from school, the Mirror reported. His mother, Princess Kate, will bake George's birthday cake late Friday night, as she does on the eve of her three children's birthdays.
