Princess Kate Reveals "Terrifying" Moment After Birth of Prince George

Royalty or not, new moms can be scary. Princess Kate recently admitted to feeling terrified in the famous moment after giving birth to her first son, Prince George, 9. After Prince George's arrival on July 22, 2013, the future king made his public debut outside the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital in Paddington, central London.

The Princess of Wales was "a little scared" to greet Londoners just hours after giving birth, the former I'm A Celebrity... revealed on the podcast "Happy Mum, Happy Baby" with She revealed during an appearance on the podcast "Happy Mum, Happy Baby" with "Get Me Out of Here" winner Giovanna Fletcher.

Fletcher asked Kate, "After you've given birth and you're in your little cocoon with your new family, what was it like knowing so many people out there?" I asked.

"Yeah, a little scary, a little terrifying," Kate replied. 'I'm going to be honest with you,' she said, 'I'm not going to lie. Yeah, all of it."

She added: "I'm not going to say it was horrible.

She added: "I'm so excited. William and I were both very aware that this was something that people were excited about, and we were very grateful for the support that the public showed us. It was really important. But just as important was the combination of a newborn baby, inexperienced parents, and the anxiety of not knowing what to expect, so there were a lot of mixed emotions."

George's 10th birthday is this Saturday. Kate and Prince William's eldest son was old enough to serve as one of the four chief attendants at King Charles' coronation at Westminster Abbey on May 6.

On the podcast, Fletcher asked how long Kate waited to greet the public after giving birth. 'Oh my God, I can't remember. Everything's a blur," Kate said. We were in the hospital all night. I remember it was very hot all day and night, and there was a huge thunderstorm.

She added, "I remember when I was sick in the hospital. It wasn't a place I wanted to hang out because of the memories I have from when I was sick in the hospital. I just wanted to go home and get back to my normal life."
