It's easy to forget: members of the royal family are human and, like us, don't always look 100 percent happy.

With that in mind, a body language expert looks back at moments when Queen Camilla, who is usually always polite and calm in public, betrays negative emotions despite herself.

"Since the death of Princess Diana, Camilla has spent so much time trying to win over public opinion that she would only appear sweet, kind, friendly, and obedient at royal events," Judy James explained to Express. 5]

"However, in the past her body language has deviated from the message and there have been a few moments when it seemed to suggest boredom, indifference, or intense irritation."

"The message was not always clear.

James specifically mentions a moment at the 2019 Order of the Garter ceremony at Windsor Castle when Princess Kate was talking animatedly with Queen Letizia of Spain, Camilla looked uncomfortable and unable to join the chatter. (We've all been in this situation before, so it's not hard to imagine how she must have felt.)

"In 2019, there was another look of discontent from Camilla, who seemed frozen out of the conversation with Kate and Letizia in Spain," James commented.

"While the two young royals seemed to be getting along like a house on fire, Camilla seemed to be lurking in the background, not speaking to anyone.

Yet on the same day, Camilla was photographed happily talking with Queen Letizia and Kate.

James also called out that onlookers felt the moment when Queen Camilla and Kate appeared to clash during the 2022 National Service Of Remembrance.

"Camilla and Kate were photographed on the balcony on Remembrance Day exchanging these furtive looks.

"Of course, it would have been inappropriate to smile and chat happily on such a poignant occasion, but Kate's lips appeared pursed when Camilla cast her this unfriendly glance."

Again, while it is possible that the two women disagreed about something that day, it is important to take these observations with a grain of salt.

As James himself has said, "When we see pictures of royals looking angry or stressed, it is often a 'flash' of body language, a very fleeting expression taken out of context."

However, according to one source, Camilla has been "consumed with jealousy" since Kate married William in 2011.

Well. Let's hope for the royal family's sake that this is all just hearsay.
