Princess Eugenie gives birth to her second child.

Buckingham Palace announced today that Princess Eugenie has welcomed her second child, a boy, with husband Jack Brooksbank.

"Princess Eugenie and Mr. Jack Brooksbank are delighted to announce the safe arrival of their son, Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank," the statement said. Ernest was born on Tuesday, May 30, weighing 7 pounds, 1 ounce."

Eugenie herself wrote on Instagram, "Jack and I wanted to share the news that on May 30, 2023, at 8:49 am, a 7.1 pound boy named Ernest George Ronnie Brooksbank was born. He is named after his great great great grandfather George, his grandfather George and my grandfather Ronald." [6

Eugenie and Jack are already the parents of a two-year-old son, August. Of their oldest son, Eugenie writes, "Augie loves being a big brother already."

"The first photo shows the newborn sleeping with him in a blue knit cap, followed by a second photo of August gently touching his baby brother's head," People reported.

Ernest is the 13th in line to the British throne and the first great-grandson born after the late Queen Elizabeth died last September. They are also the third grandchild for Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, and in addition to Eugenie's two boys, they are the grandparents of Sienna Elizabeth, daughter of Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi.
