Princess Kate's favorite tiara had a painful side effect.

The Princess of Wales wore her crown and tiara for the first time outside the United Kingdom last week at the Jordanian royal wedding on Thursday. She chose her favorite tiara, the Queen Mary Lovers Knot Tiara. The diamond and pearl headpiece dates back to 1914 and was made for Queen Mary by the royal jeweler Garrard.

And as beautiful as it is, according to royal fashion expert and celebrity stylist Miranda Holder, the crown is so heavy that it can be painful to wear, as it was for Princess Diana.

Queen Mary's Lover's Knot Tiara is Kate's most favorite tiara to wear, but she also occasionally wears the Lotus Flower Tiara. She also wore Queen Elizabeth's Cartier Halo Tiara when she married Prince William on April 29, 2011.

And while Kate may be a crown-wearing heavyweight at work, it seems that in her personal life she is into a new hobby. According to the Mirror, she and William are in "fierce competition" with each other in padel tennis. Padel tennis is a cross between traditional tennis and squash, played on a small court with a hard padel rather than a racket made of strings. According to the Sun, William and Kate regularly play doubles matches with friends.

"I did a double-take because it seemed unreal, but they were having so much fun," the witness said.

"William was on one team with a male friend and Kate was on the other team with a male friend, lots of banter, lots of laughs, they were both good, didn't look like beginners."

From tiaras to tennis, Kate can do it all!
