Princess Charlotte has the same characteristics as her mother, Princess Kate.

Like Mother, Like Daughter - Princess Charlotte, the only daughter of the Prince and Princess of Wales, is apparently "very competitive" like her mother Kate, People reports.

This week, Kate revealed that she attends rugby practice at Maidenhead Rugby Club and regularly plays rugby in the backyard with her three children. (In addition to Princess Charlotte, Kate is also the mother of Prince George and Prince Louis.)

"She regularly plays rugby in her backyard with her children," said Nigel Gillingham, president of the Rugby Football Union, the governing body for the sport in England. She plays all kinds of sports with the kids."

In addition to her mother's natural athleticism, Charlotte has also inherited Kate's competitive spirit: "Apparently Charlotte, like Kate, is very competitive," Gillingham said.

Kate is a patron of rugby football league and rugby football union, and has revealed in the past that George is tall, which is not surprising given that both of his parents are tall, and that "he has the build."

Prince William has described Charlotte as a "rising star" in soccer, but the 8-year-old revealed herself that her favorite sport is actually gymnastics, not rugby or soccer.

"She really, really loved watching swimming, but she was interested in gymnastics, and she's trying different sports at home, but when I asked her about sports, she said very simply, 'My favorite is gymnastics,'" said Sports Aid Chief Tim Lawler, chief executive of SportsAid, told Hello.

Kate also told the Daily Mail that "Charlotte spends most of her time standing on her head and spinning."

Kate is athletic and competitive, and despite losing when her team visited Maidenhead Rugby Club, the club's president, Stephen Bough, said, "She obviously practices. Her ball skills and passing skills are very good. She fit in there and played as part of the team. I honestly didn't even realize she was there half the time."
