Prince Harry Attends Warrior Games for Wounded Warriors in San Diego, Says Spirit Renewed

Prince Harry made his first public appearance since visiting the UK to testify in the trial against Miller Group Newspapers.

The Duke of Sussex made an appearance at the Warrior Games in San Diego. The Warrior Games is an initiative created by the Department of Defense in which wounded, ill, and injured military personnel compete in a series of sporting events. As Harry has revealed in the past, these games formed the inspiration for the Invictus Games, one of the projects closest to Harry's heart.

While attending an event in San Diego, the prince told the crowd, "My spirit has been renewed.

Perhaps his spirit needed to be "renewed" because testifying in court was likely an emotionally draining experience for him. Perhaps he simply wanted to express that he was happy to return his focus to the cause he holds most dear.

The official Warrior Games Twitter account, along with a photo of Harry attending the event, wrote, "The final day of competition for #WarriorGames2023 was made special by a visit from Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex."

"Prince Harry spent time with the athletes and their families and watched the sitting volleyball finals as the 2023 Warrior Games came to a close."

Prince Harry also attended the #WarriorGames2023 in the city of London.

Harry first attended the Warrior Games in 2013 and immediately wanted to spread the concept to the UK and other countries around the world." It was a great concept by the US and had to be stolen. But I wanted to bring it to a wider international audience," he said in 2014, when the first Invictus Games were held (via People).

Prince Harry himself is a veteran, having served 10 years in the British Army and completing two tours in Afghanistan.
