Adorable Father's Day photo of Prince William and his children hides a tribute to his beloved family

Today is Father's Day in the UK and the US, and to mark the occasion new photos of Prince William and his children (Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis) have been released. (We caught up with the foursome and their mother, Kate, at Trooping the Colour yesterday.) In this photo, taken by Millie Pilkington, the four are color-coordinated in blue.

Casual observers of the photo may have missed a special touch honoring the late Queen Elizabeth: the four are sitting on a bench that was given to the late Queen Elizabeth for her 90th birthday in 2016. (If you look closely, the wooden bench is inscribed with the words "birthday" and "April 2016.") According to the Mirror, the photo was taken in the gardens of Frogmore House in Windsor.

According to Kensington Palace (and according to People), the new photos were taken at the Windsor Estate earlier this year. As far as what the children are wearing, this photo was taken on the same day as Louis' fifth birthday portrait photo, which was released in April. Louis is wearing the same blue sweater over a checked shirt.

The royal family shared a photo of young William and Prince Harry with their father, King Charles, with the caption "To Dads everywhere, we wish you a very special Father's Day today."

A touching One photo shows the King's late father, Prince Philip; another shows Queen Camilla with her late father, Major Bruce Shand; a third photo shows the King with his sons William and Harry above the Muick Falls at his Balmoral estate in Scotland in 1997.
