Prince William talks to children about homeless people he sees on his way to school

Just because Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis are royalty doesn't mean they live in ivory towers; according to the Mirror, the three have seen the state of homelessness on the streets of London, and their father, Prince William, is eager to educate them on the issue The paper says that their father, Prince William, is eager to educate them on the issue. He is also waiting for the right time to take them to a homeless support group to teach them about helping others, as their mother, Princess Diana, once did with them.

"On the way to school, we talk about what we see," William told The Sunday Times. 'When I was in London, driving back and forth, I used to see people sitting in front of supermarkets. I would say to the children, 'Why are they there? I think it's good for all of us, and the right thing to do, to bring it to the children's attention at the right stage, in the right dialogue, so that they can understand. Some of us are very fortunate and some of us need a little help.

Homelessness was an important issue for Princess Diana, and it has now been passed on to William. He wants to end homelessness in the UK and, inspired by Diana's compassion, is preparing to launch a "really big project" to tackle the problem, according to the Mirror.

William is "doing so much off camera," Mick Clark, CEO of the homeless charity The Passage, told the Sunday Times. 'That's what he enjoys most. It's meeting real people and hearing real stories. That's what he plans to do. When he comes here, nothing is sweet, nothing is sanitized. People on the street can tell in an instant if a person is real or not. He is the real thing."

William said of a cause close to his heart, "I don't tend to give money. I tend to buy him drinks and food. When I see other people doing that [giving money] when I'm walking or driving by, people don't even look at me. Very few people stop and talk to homeless people. My work allows me to meet, hear, feel, and see homeless people. That is very important to me, and what I hear from them themselves."

He continued. It's really important for society to acknowledge that there is somebody out there and they are having a hard time. It shouldn't happen, but it's right there. We can't ignore that."
