While the media makes a big deal about Taylor Swift's relationships with men, we're focusing on her relationships with her girlfriends, and according to Page Six, Lorde offers a rare glimpse into her friendship with Swift and how supportive she is of Swift.

Lorde and Swift have been friends for years, and the email exchange is from 2017.

She continued, "And I don't think first week record sales alone define legacy," citing Lorde's "Melodrama" album. Lorde's reply was, "I love you." Her caption about the exchange read, "Taylor was very kind and not wrong."

The two have been friends for more than a decade, and Lorde shared the text on her Instagram Story on Friday in honor of the sixth anniversary of Melodrama. While Swift and Lorde's friendship was not without its complications, Page Six reported that Lorde once hinted that being Swift's friend was like being around someone with an "autoimmune disease."

"It's like having a friend with a very specific allergy," Lorde told The Guardian in 2017. 'There are places we can't go together. There are places you can't go together. There are different considerations in friendship."

Lord never named Swift, but fans noticed, and Lord later issued an apology: "I didn't mention Taylor, but anyway, I made a mistake and it was really insensitive.

Page Six reported that "it is unclear how close Swift and Lord are now."
