Rumer Willis shares touching photo of Bruce Willis and his first grandchild

Rumer Willis and his partner Derek Richard Thomas welcomed a daughter, Louetta, on April 18, making her the first grandchild for her famous father, Bruce Willis.

Therefore, for Father's Day, Rumer posted a series of photos of Bruce, Thomas, and Lou on Instagram.

In the first photo, Bruce is holding his granddaughter, and in the second, Rumer is holding Lou while cuddling her dad.

"Fathers old and new," Rumer captioned the post.

"Seeing a father hold his daughter today was something I will treasure forever. His sweetness and love for his daughter was so pure and beautiful. Dad ...... We are so lucky to have you in our lives. Thank you for being the best, silliest, most loving, coolest dad to a girl. The best girl daddy in the game. ......"

The next picture is of Thomas, reading Lou a bedtime story and looking serious with a skin care mask on.

"@derekrichardthomas Happy 1st Father's Day," Rumer continued. [Thank you for creating a beautiful garden for Lou. Thank you for filling the house with music for Lou. Thank you for staying up late at night changing diapers and making silly faces.

"I'm so grateful that my daughter has a dad who loves her so much, who is funny and weird, and that she knows it's okay.

"Thank you for being the best girl I could ever imagine in my wildest dreams.

"We love you"

Bruce Willis was sadly recently diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia. In a statement to The Association for Frontotemporal Degneration, Bruce's family said, "Bruce always believed in putting his voice out into the world to help others and raise awareness of important issues both public and private. We are grateful to Bruce for his support. We know in our hearts that if he could do it today, he would respond by bringing global attention and connecting with those facing this debilitating disease and how it affects so many people and their families." [We are a family with a loved one suffering from FTD and encourage others facing FTD to seek the wealth of information and support available through AFTD (@theaftd, theaftd.org). We also hope that those who are fortunate enough not to have personally experienced FTD will take the time to learn about it and support AFTD's mission in any way they can."

"We are also pleased to see the growing number of people who have been affected by FTD,"

said AFTD's President and CEO, Dr. David H. Harris.
