Prince Harry's Coronation Attendance and Meghan Markle's Coronation Skip "Always the Best Compromise," Royal Expert

After months of speculation, the Sussexes' plans for Charles III's coronation are finally known.

Prince Harry will attend his father's special day, while Meghan Markle will remain with her children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

According to one royal expert, Prince Charles will be happy (and relieved) that his son is coming, but disappointed that he won't get to see his grandson. Archie was born in England, whereas Lili was born in California, and he only met her last year during the Queen's Jubilee (as far as we know, that is).

"I know Charles will be very, very busy during the coronation," says Jenny Bond OK!

"Still, it's a shame he won't get a chance to meet his grandson.

Still, Bond is glad that at least Harry will be here on May 6 (which, incidentally, is also Archie's 4th birthday).

"I'm very happy to know that Harry is coming, and that he's coming on what is probably the most important day in his father's life.

"I think this was always the best compromise, especially given Archie's fourth birthday, that he should come and that Princess Meghan should not come."

A source also told The Sun that "the King is delighted that his son Harry, whom he calls his "beloved son," is coming to the abbey."

"He had hoped Harry would be there. Sadly, he is very sorry that he will not be able to see Princess Meghan or his grandchildren, but he understands the situation."

On April 12, a representative for the Sussexes confirmed the RSVP, and a royal spokesperson said, "Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that the Duke of Sussex will attend the coronation service at Westminster Abbey."
