Sarah Ferguson not invited to King Charles' coronation

Sarah Ferguson, ex-wife of King Charles' brother Prince Andrew and mother of Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, will not attend the coronation ceremony at Westminster Abbey on May 6, "People" reported. According to the magazine, she was not invited, but Andrew plans to attend.

Ferguson previously told ITV in an interview that she did not expect to attend the coronation and that her plans for the day included "a little coffee shop and a Coronation chicken sandwich and putting out a banner. 'Because that makes me so happy. I love watching the games on TV. The commentators are always so nice. And the whole family comes back."

Ferguson seemed to understand that she was not invited, telling ITV, "Because, remember, I divorced him. Because I divorced him."

Ferguson said, "Because I divorced him. You can't get divorced and say, "I want this." I can't get divorced and say, 'I want this.'"

Although she did not go to the coronation, "People" reports that Ferguson maintains a warm relationship with Charles, Camilla, and the royal family. She was invited to spend both Christmas and Easter with them.

"I am very supportive of the King and Queen and am willing to do whatever is necessary to support them going forward," Ferguson said in March of this year.
