Prince Harry has a heart-to-heart with Prince Charles before agreeing to attend the coronation.

After weeks of what insiders call "transatlantic ping pong" over whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend Prince Charles' coronation on May 6, Harry and his father have had a heart-to-heart and agreed that Harry will attend, the Daily The Mail reported. (Harry will attend the ceremony at Westminster Abbey, but Meghan will not, opting to remain in Montecito with the couple's children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.)

The personal chatter between father and daughter apparently indicates that there is a "willingness and desire on both sides to reconcile," and that by attending, Harry "wants to show his support for his father," according to royal sources.

Sources told the Sun on Sunday that Prince Charles is "delighted" with Harry's decision and "understands" Princess Meghan's decision. In addition to the coronation date, May 6 is also Archie's fourth birthday.

It is less clear whether the olive branch extends to Harry and his brother Prince William as well. Harry has reportedly not spoken to Prince William since the publication of Spare, which has attacked his brother and sister in many pages. Prince Charles spoke fondly of his two sons during a visit to Sandhurst on Friday, saying, "As the father of two graduates of this academy, when I say that I remember their leaving parade, I can only imagine the immense pride they must feel in witnessing your parade."

Also in the pages of Spare, Harry took aim at his stepmother, Queen Camilla. An aide told The Sunday Times (via the Daily Mail) that her reaction "was not a stomping of feet or a gnashing of teeth, but a rolling of the eyes." Nevertheless, Camilla was "hurt" that Harry called her "dangerous" and a "villain."

The Daily Mail also reported that Harry will stay one last time at Frogmore Cottage, his and Meghan's former British home, before being evicted, ending one chapter and hopefully beginning a move toward reconciliation within the family.

"The King has said before that he loves his two sons, and that hasn't changed," a source told the Mirror.

"Harry will deeply regret not attending the ceremony. Archie's birthday gave Princess Meghan the perfect excuse to stay away and, all things considered, it was probably the right thing to do."[13
