When you're a big celebrity like Taylor Swift, you can't afford to be spotted chilling out in concert venues at will as you prepare to take the stage.

Thankfully, Swift and her Eras tour team have come up with a strange but perfect solution: the Midnights singer will apparently be pushed onto the stage in a decoy janitor's cart with a mop head sticking out of the top. No, I know.

This was initially thought to be nothing more than an unsubstantiated fan theory, but new video evidence is revealing that this is indeed Swift's tour strategy.

The following video appears to show the singer stepping out of a cart onto the stage in her glittering outfit.

And since Taylor Swift fans are a very serious lot, many have shared what can only be described as a mini thesis on the physics of these stage admissions.

"Welcome back to tour equipment 101." Yes, that's clearly Taylor Swift. Yes, clearly there are no cleaning equipment carts on tour. But the other main indicator is not that it is too heavy, but that it is too light," one writes.

In other words, I'm not particularly familiar with the science, but this seems well-founded.

And now we know the truth.

"These two are carrying the entire music industry on their backs," one person tweeted, along with a picture of them pushing a cart.

Another wrote, "It's cool and artistic when Taylor Swift is on a cleaning cart, but when I do it I'm 'drunk' and need to 'sleep'."
