Prince Charles plans to evict many royals, not just Harry and Meghan, sources claim

Long before King Charles became monarch, it was widely known that he was planning a "slimmed-down monarchy."

When the King unexpectedly decided to remove Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage in Windsor, it was clearly the first move of many plans toward that vision.

As it stands, many relatives and non-working members of the family are currently living in apartments subsidized by the Royal Family, including the Palace apartments.

"Over time, that will change," one source told the Evening Standard. 'Properties will be rented out at commercial rates in the future, and to people outside the family. In a palatial setting, of course there will be security screening."

A senior royal official added: "The king is not a ruthless or reckless man. The King is not ruthless or reckless, but if a family member is not part of the core family and does not work for the royal family, it is only fair that they have their own home and funding."[9

Meanwhile, another source did not mince words: "The King is not some kind of housing association for distant relatives. Fair enough, right?

Unfortunately, the King's plans also reportedly include cutting the number of staff employed at the Royal House.

All of these moves are supposedly designed to ensure that the monarchy transitions firmly into the 21st century and to reduce one of the main complaints that anti-monarchists have against the monarchy: the burden on the taxpayer. Well, let's see what happens.
