Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may be "excluded" from Met Gala invite list

The Met Gala will be held on May 1, and already rumors are circulating that the Kardashians may be left off the invite list.

But there is another pair of celebrities who may not be "invited" this year: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

While their high profile may suggest that they are ideal guests, it also feels less like the kind of event they are usually seen at. Still, one public relations expert says they may not be invited intentionally.

"Ahead of next year's Met Gala, arguably Hollywood's most prestigious red carpet event, it is currently unclear if Prince Harry and Meghan will receive an invitation," Jordan James told the Express.

"Given their current status in the royal family and the drama surrounding it, it certainly wouldn't be a huge surprise if they weren't invited," Jordan James told the Express.

As you are well aware, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex currently have a difficult relationship with the UK-based royal family, especially in the aftermath of Harry's memoir, Spare.

They are also still figuring out what they want to focus on in their new lives: they continue their philanthropic work, but have also dabbled in various media projects, and the Duke also works as chief impact officer of mental health startup Better Up

Jamie.

James agrees that the Sussexes will not be attending the Met Gala.

"I think it is unlikely that the couple would attend, because even if they did accept the invitation, they would undoubtedly come under scrutiny.

King Charles' coronation will take place on May 6, but it remains unclear whether the Sussexes will attend. So far, all we know is that they have been invited.
