Almost two years ago, on March 7, 2021, Oprah Winfrey made a permanent appearance in the royal family conversation regarding Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. That was, of course, the day that her special "Oprah with Meghan and Harry" aired, and she has been closely associated with the two ever since. (To be fair, she knew the Sussexes long before March 2021 - she even attended their wedding in May 2018.)

Now the buzz continues, with Oprah's BFF Gayle King asking the media mogul on CBS Morning this week for her thoughts on whether Harry and Meghan should attend King Charles' coronation at Westminster Abbey in London on May 6.

"Harry and Meghan have reportedly received invitations to the coronation," King said. 'Do you think they should go? Do you think they shouldn't go?" Do you have any comments you would like to make?"

Oprah's Answer," "I think they should do what they think is best for them and for their families. That's what I think."

"That's what I think. That's what I think: what I think is best for me."

Then she added with a smile: "They haven't asked my opinion."

Oprah was before Netflix's Harry & Meghan, before Spare, before Spotify's Archetypes, and before interviews with The Cut, Variety, Anderson Cooper, Stephen Colbert, and others. The 85-minute CBS special was the first joint interview between Harry and Meghan since they stepped down as active members of the royal family in January 2020. Upon stepping down, Oprah told TMZ that she supports their decision, saying, "I support them 1,000 percent. Harry said in a recent charity statement that he had to make a decision to move forward in peace with his new family, to make the decision to leave all of his previous lives behind and choose this new life, or what he believes is the truest vision for him. Who wouldn't feel the same way? "

Ultimately, the jury is still out on what Harry and Meghan will do about attending the coronation as the RSVP date looms.
