[The children of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh (known as Edward and Sophie) are the youngest of the late queen's eight grandchildren and are still teenagers. Lady Amelia Spencer, niece of Princess Diana and sister of Kitty Spencer, daughter of Earl Charles Spencer, will soon marry her longtime partner Greg Mallett. The exact wedding date is not known, but Amelia recently posted a photo of her and Greg, saying, "Soon ......."

In the image, Amelia "lovingly placed her hand on her husband-to-be's face as they posed closed against a beautiful mountain range," People reports.

The two had been dating for 11 years before getting engaged in July 2020. At the time, Amelia wrote about the proposal on Instagram, "Best day of my life. I can't wait to spend eternity with you. I couldn't love you more" - adorned with her new diamond ring.

Greg proposed at Cloud Estate in Stellenbosch, South Africa, and told Harrow, "There was one big pink box with eight little boxes inside it. Each box had a 'first time' photo in it. The last box had a note in place of the picture, saying, 'But the most important thing is that you remember tonight as the night I proposed to you. As Amelia was reading the note, I got down on one knee with the ring." [Amelia, the daughter of Charles and his first wife Victoria Aitkin, took to social media herself to congratulate her on her engagement, tweeting, "So happy my daughter Amelia is engaged to her boyfriend of 11 years, Greg. I love that Greg asked for my blessing before proposing. Very sweet.

"Tatler" magazine reports that the couple met as students at the University of Cape Town and may be getting married in South Africa, where Amelia, her three older sisters Kitty, twin sister Eliza, and brother Louis grew up. Marie Claire reports that Kitty, who has a lavish wedding in Italy in July 2021 with five Dolce & Gabbana looks, has chosen not to wear the Spencer family heirloom tiara that Princess Diana wore at her wedding to then-Prince Charles in July 1981. Amelia may wear the tiara.

According to Tatler, Amelia will be married at Althorpe House, his ancestral home in Northamptonshire, England, if her father Charles so wishes. But according to the magazine, Amelia's feelings are leaning toward South Africa. 'Cape Town is where we grew up, and there's a chance we could get married here.'

Born in July 1992, Amelia was only five years old when her aunt died in a Paris car accident in August 1997. Of Princess Diana, she told Hello magazine that she feels a special connection, "I feel I have a caring nature, and I hope that's what I inherited from Princess Diana. Diana was an incredible icon and I think she touched a lot of people's hearts and lives."

She also said, "I think she was a great inspiration to many people.

Amelia's parents divorced in 1997, and she and her siblings grew up in South Africa, but for certain royal events, including the dedication of the Princess of Wales Memorial Sports Ground in 2000, the 10th anniversary of Princess Diana's death in 2007, and the wedding of her cousin Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011 People reports that he returned to the U.K. for Amelia is not pictured at this 2018 wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, although her mother and siblings were in attendance.

In addition to modeling and working as ambassadors for luxury brands, Amelia and her twin sister Eliza moved to London in 2021, and in the past year have attended events such as the Cannes Film Festival and sat on the front row at Milan Fashion Week. Just last month, Amelia and Eliza walked the Josh Burch Jones runway and made their London Fashion Week catwalk debut.
