Read MoreWith less than two months to go before the historic coronation of Charles III on May 6, royal pundits are battling over who will win or lose in terms of whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will attend.
However, after news of the Sussex couple's eviction from Frogmore Cottage came to light, royal expert Jenny Bond believes the couple may skip the national festivities because of this minor injury.
"They have already 'skipped out' on their son Archie's fourth birthday celebration, so they may use that as another excuse," Bond said (via The Mirror). Indeed, son Archie's birthday falls on the day of his coronation.
"The choreography, the sitting area, the roles, watching Camilla's family is incredibly awkward and full of tension and awkwardness, and Harry may feel he doesn't want to be there," Bond continued.
"But I'm hoping, for Charles' sake, that he will go."
The Sussexes confirmed this past weekend that they had been invited to the event, but would not comment on whether they would attend.
A spokesman for the couple said, "I can confirm that the Duke recently received an email communication from Her Majesty's office regarding the coronation."
"No immediate decision as to whether the Duke and Duchess will attend will be disclosed by us at this time."
Given that, the Sussexes are reportedly "disappointed" by the news that they will have to vacate Frogmore, but not particularly devastated.
A source recently revealed to "OK!" that Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank will be living on the property, adding, "The Sussexes are disappointed with the move, but couldn't be happier that Eugenie and Jack are taking over." He added. They have been staying there for the last few years anyway."
"They have been living in the house for a few years now.
Meanwhile, a source told People that Harry and Meghan are "nonchalant" about the eviction. Still, Bond is right that attending the coronation may prove too much of a burden for the royal couple. So let's take a look!
