Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's children are officially Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet of Sussex

Shortly after a spokesperson for Prince Harry and Meghan Markle officially confirmed that their daughter Lilibet had been baptized in Los Angeles, the royal family issued a statement calling Lilibet a "Princess" and updated its throne web page.

Currently, "Prince Archie of Sussex" is sixth in line to the throne and "Princess Lilibet of Sussex" is seventh. Now let's agree here and now that these titles are the coolest sounding ever.

The children of the Sussex family are the next in line to the throne after their uncle Prince William, cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis (all from Wales), and their father Prince Harry.

Lilibet was baptized last week, and a Sussex spokesperson said, "We can confirm that Princess Lilibet Deanna was baptized on Friday, March 3, by the Archbishop of Los Angeles, the Reverend John Taylor."

The use of the designation "Princess" here surprised royal fans, but the Sussexes defended their choice of the term with the following statement: "The title of Children is a birthright, since their grandfather became monarch. This issue is in line with Buckingham Palace and has been settled before" (via Express).

Until now, it was unclear whether Archie and Lili would use these titles. The king could have issued a patent writ to prevent the two from using the titles, but instead reportedly agreed that their youngest grandson would use the new names.

"Hello!" reports that the two-way decision was made in December, a month before the publication of Harry's explosive memoir, Spare. The book is a shocking book because it contains many shocking facts about the King and the Prince of Wales.

The King apparently chose to remove the Sussexes from their English home as a result of the memoir instead of allowing Archie and Lili to be called "Prince" and "Princess."

According to the BBC, Harry and Meghan intend to let their children choose whether they will continue to use their titles once they are old enough to decide for themselves, and these titles will only be used in official or formal contexts such as christenings.
