Prince Harry, "in his element when he appears alone," says body language expert.

Prince Harry appeared at the two-day event in San Francisco as BetterUp's Chief Impact Officer.

There, the Duke of Sussex joined BetterUp co-founder and CEO Alexi Robichaux on stage at Uplift to discuss the future of work. Other speakers at the event included actress Issa Rae and Peloton star Robin Alson.

The Duke seemed very much in his element on stage, looking relaxed, confident, and happy.

"There are some really great moments in Prince Harry's body language on stage at the summit in San Francisco," Darren Stanton told Marie Claire on behalf of Betfair Casino (opens in new tab).

"He clearly loves being with Meghan and having her by his side, but Harry really comes into his own when he appears alone and talks about issues he is deeply passionate about."

"More and more often I see the great body language Harry displays at these solo events, and his confidence has grown tremendously. This change in confidence is clearly demonstrated by a number of gestures Harry has displayed. [For example, if you put the fingers of both hands together to make a point, as many politicians do, and move to that point, it suggests that you are truly genuine and sincere.

"Harry's hand movements were unconsciously in rhythm with what he was saying with his mouth, suggesting that he was speaking from the heart and truly communicating the passion he wanted to convey.

After the release of his memoir, Spare, Prince Harry received a certain amount of backlash, but according to Stanton, he did not let this affect the way he appeared to uplift.

"He was able to successfully separate the attention surrounding him from the public appearances he made after the book's publication. And he has not let the uproar affect his ability to connect personally with audiences when the spotlight is on him," the expert said.

"I think Harry saw the book launch as a therapeutic process and has since made the decision to move on and focus on his passions."

The Sussexes have garnered the most attention for their flashy media projects, including the Netflix documentary "Spare," but Prince Harry has been involved in many other things since moving to California. In addition to his role as CIO of Better Up, he continues to work for various charities and regularly participates in polo competitions.

In his speech at Uplift, Harry summed up the most important things in his life. 'Personally, I get a lot out of helping others. Serving others is what drives me and what gets me out of bed every day" (via People).
