Ignoring Prince Harry would be a "disaster" for Prince Charles, Prince William, and Kate, PR expert says

In an interview with ITV's Tom Bradby in January, Prince Harry made it clear that his attendance at the upcoming coronation would depend on his family being able to bridge the gap by then.

He said then, "There's a lot that can happen between now and then. But, you know, the door is always open. The ball is in their court. There's a lot to talk about, and I really hope they sit down and talk about it."

Two months later, we still don't know if peace talks have taken place or if the Sussexes plan to attend.

All we know is that King Charles has made the unexpected decision to remove Harry and Meghan from their British home, Frogmore Cottage, and it is unlikely that the US-based couple will be inclined to show up for the historic May 6 event.

And for some public relations experts, it should be the king and other senior royals who take the first steps toward reconciliation.

"I think it's Prince Charles, Prince William, Princess Catherine, and the Queen who need to think about keeping up appearances with regard to the coronation," Carla Speight told the Express.

"They need to appear as a happy family, and that means they have to resolve the disadvantages that Harry mentioned."

She added, "The public appearance needs to be very different from what it is today."

Speight observed that the late queen always tried to keep up appearances, but "the king seems content to let everything play out in public and remain stoically silent."

The experts were clear in their advice to the royal family. 'If you want public opinion on your side, you must resolve this issue. 'Especially William and Lady Catherine. William and Catherine in particular are vocal advocates of mental health issues, yet they ignore what Harry went through. Is this what two people who are going to be king and queen should be like?"

Speight concluded. 'Harry needs to be listened to. If they do, they will lose the public's respect and may bring disaster to the future goodwill of the Royal Family."

He concluded.

Many have hypothesized as to whether the Sussexes will travel to England for the coronation, but it remains to be seen who is right.

"It would be very difficult for both Harry and Meghan to attend the coronation, given what has happened," royal correspondent Charles Rae previously said.

"That said, I think they will be invited. I remember after the Oprah interview they were invited to the Platinum Jubilee. [But since the same day is Archie's fourth birthday, they have the perfect excuse not to come. They may choose to stay in California and celebrate it instead.

Let's see!
