Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were apparently invited to the drama-filled wedding of Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz
As legal disputes rage regarding Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz's wedding plans, it appears that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle may have been included on the original guest list.
Nicola and her mother, Claudia Peltz, exchanged a series of messages discussing who to invite to the April 2022 event, which were recently included in court documents, The Independent reported.
Claudia asked, "Did Megan accept the invitation?" Nicola wrote, "Who is Megan?" I replied. Instead of replying, Claudia added, "Harry too," but we don't know what happened after that.
(Incidentally, Prince William and Princess Kate politely declined their own invitation.)
This was after Brooklyn and Nicola's wedding planner filed a countersuit against Nicola's father, Nelson Peltz.
After planner Preston Bailey stepped down because he was "too busy," wedding planners Nicole Bragin and Arianna Grijalva of Plan Design Events were hired. This was six weeks before the wedding day.
The lawsuit was filed in Florida, where the wedding took place, and revealed the enormous behind-the-scenes drama that unfolded leading up to the glamorous wedding. Court documents included hundreds of WhatsApp messages and emails exchanged between Nicola, the wedding planner, Mr. and Mrs. Peltz, and Brooklyn.
Claudia and Nicola were concerned that Victoria Beckham would find out about the planning mistakes, and Nicola wanted Bragin and Grijalva to hide the bridal hair and makeup expenses from Nelson.
According to Page Six, the lawsuit states, "Nelson Peltz is believed to have paid over $100,000 plus travel expenses for Nicola's hair and makeup services for the wedding. Claudia told [one of the planners] that Nelson could not know the cost of the hair and makeup or else 'he would kill her and be very angry.'"
At one point, Brooklyn apparently said the guest list was "a mess." Nicola replied, "Ohm, more like a murder scene."
Nicola was reportedly unhappy with many of the planning decisions.
The planners claimed that Nelson was "acting like a billionaire bully," and a representative for Nelson (actually a billionaire investor) said the counterclaims were "all but inaccurate."
A verdict we can all agree on."
This is Messy.
