ICYMI, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez co-star in Dunkin' ad at the Super Bowl.
Each year, brands compete for the most dated Super Bowl ads.
Over the past year, Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have made headline after headline.
Now, obviously, Affleck is a longtime Dunkin' aficionado, so it was only natural for the coffee and donut chain to pull out the star as the director and performer of its first Super Bowl ad.
In the 30-second spot, Affleck exaggerates his Boston accent and plays a Dunkin' employee from Medford, Mass. He announces a special campaign while serving customers in the drive-thru, struggling to find a bagel on the order screen.
When one customer drives up, Affleck asks, "Do you recognize him?" The stunned driver asks, "How?" He replies, "I don't know. He then takes a selfie with a subsequent customer.
His last order of the day came from his wife, of all people, as J.Lo pulls up and asks Affleck, in a frazzled tone, "Do you have any more of these?
The Tender Bar actor said that Lopez told him, "Bring me a glass!" before calling out, "I gotta go, guys."
The commercial's press release reads, "Ben Affleck has always been a part of the Dunkin' family, but tonight, Dunkin' made it official during the big game.
"At Dunkin', fans are part of the family and can do things like direct Dunkin''s first Super Bowl commercial.
"The ad, which will air during Super Bowl LVII, features Dunkin''s #1 fan, Ben Affleck, wearing a Dunkin' uniform and working the drive-thru at a Dunkin' restaurant in Medford, MA.
"As guests placed their orders to fuel up for the day, Ben introduced one of the newest offerings on the menu: the Dunkin' Run, a $1 classic donut with a medium or larger coffee.
"While working his "shift," Ben also takes a surprise order from his wife, Jennifer Lopez.
"This is a first for Dunkin' and Ben, but it certainly won't be the last! Stay tuned for more
