Netflix's newest dating show, "Perfect Match," brings together several streamers from reality shows for a chaotic new dating competition. Among the singles entering the villa on opening night are Joey Sasso, winner of the first season of The Circle, and Cariselle Snow, best known for her role as Panda in Sexy Beast. The former bartender and pageant queen (her first reality show was actually MTV's "Are You The One?") had a lot of history between the two even before they appeared on "Perfect Match.

The two first interacted after it was revealed that Joey was a cast member of The Circle. Joey said he received a DM from Karisel in the first episode of "Perfect Match" and was immediately attracted to her. She then went to LA and they had fun together, but according to Joey, he wasn't ready for a relationship. Cariselle says they were out of touch for several months, but then he reconnected with her; they tried dating, but the "commitment" was too much for him, she says, and they broke up.

That second date was sometime in early 2021, according to Instagram. Joey included a photo of himself at Carrizel with the touching caption July 2021, thanking his friends and loved ones for their support during his sobriety. His 2021 annual recap video also includes a shot of the two kissing; by the time they began filming "The Perfect Match" in early 2022, they appeared to have broken up.

Calizel and Joey were taken aback when they saw each other among the first contestants to enter the Perfect Match villa (Joey also had a past with Francesca Farago, which may have doubled the effect). They discussed their history and Calizel told him He seemed reluctant to give her another chance, but he also thought that their reunion on the show may have been fate. Joey admitted that he still loved her, and she agreed to be his mate.

The happy reunion was met with turbulence the next day in the show's first "compatibility challenge." During the game, Joey admits that she still has feelings for her former ex, whom she broke up with about four years ago. In addition to being embarrassed by the water on his head, Cariselle became angry and asked him why he would try to have a relationship with her if he hadn't left the past behind. That night, she tells Francesca that she is "very open" to getting to know someone new if he asks her out on a date.

Of course, Cariselle is set up on a date with Chase DeMoore the next day, which goes very well, and they return to the villa hand in hand and kiss later that night; even though Joey is upset to see them kissing, he does not interrupt and places his cards on Cariselle's table, telling her if she tells her that if she doesn't choose him, he will go home. This upsets her and she wonders why he is okay with seeing her with someone else, but despite the tussle, she eventually chooses to fight Joey again. Since then, their relationship has become more positive (they rated each other a perfect 10 in an anonymous kissing challenge) and they have been matched ever since.

As of February 16, there are few clues on social media about their relationship status; the two don't even follow each other on Instagram, but that could just be the Perfect Match production team making a bet on some ultra-sensitive fans. As the show approaches its February 28 finale, we're still keeping an eye out for clues.
