Ashton Kutcher 'pissed off' after ex-Demi Moore memoir goes public
Ashton Kutcher recently revealed that he felt very strongly when his ex-wife Demi Moore's memoir was published in 2019.
"I was mad," the "That '90s Show" actor said in a cover interview with Esquire.
"I finally got to the point where the press would abandon me, Mira, and my life and my family. And the next day [the paparazzi] are at my kids' school." [But Kutcher quickly restrained himself: according to the writer, he did not want to complain. The actor concluded, "I don't want to open anything in that realm."
Kutcher admitted only that he was angry about the attention Moore's memoir brought to his family, especially his children, but the book itself was full of material that seemed difficult for him to bring to the fore.
In Inside Out, Moore revealed that he had accepted threesomes with Kutcher and other women and later regretted them, claiming that his ex-husband used those experiences to justify his affairs.
"I put him first," she wrote (via People). 'So when he mentioned his fantasy of bringing a third party into our bed, I didn't say no. I wanted to show him how wonderful and fun I could be."
She also wrote that she "wanted to be a good friend to him, and I wanted to be a good friend to him, too.
She further explained that "because we brought a third party into our relationship, Ashton felt that it blurred the boundaries and, to some extent, justified what he did [the alleged affair]."
In the same Esquire interview, Kutcher admitted that his current wife, Mila Kunis, had called him out on his behavior toward Moore." You were an asshole," she told him. Kunis then said, "Yeah, you've been an asshole for two years."
