Don't expect Prince William to do this on Valentine's Day.
After more than 20 years of dating and nearly 12 years of marriage, it is clear that the Crown Prince and Princess love each other. But with Valentine's Day looming, there are apparently no flowers in their repertoire for February 14.
According to The Independent, "The Crown Princess joked that her husband, the Crown Prince, would not observe certain Valentine's Day traditions this year." Kate, while touring Kirkgate Market in Leeds, said she did not think William would buy flowers for Valentine's Day. While meeting with vendors at the market, Kate stopped by one florist and admired his display of flowers, the outlet reported.
The seller, Neil Ashcroft, asked Kate if William would buy her roses. After presenting her with a bouquet of hyacinths, which he said was Kate's favorite flower, "I suggested that William might buy her roses, and she said, 'I don't think he will.'"
Well, Kate may not receive a dozen roses on Tuesday, but the Welsh couple's marriage seems perfectly romantic: Marie Claire recently reported that not only are William and Kate astrologically super compatible, but William is a gentleman to his wife. A video of the two of them from March 2022 recently reappeared on TikTok, and viewers are swooning over their moment at the Commonwealth Day service: Kate is offered an umbrella by an aide to ward off the light rain that day, but politely declines, probably because her hands are full. But then William swoops in and asks the aide for an umbrella, holding it out so that Kate doesn't get wet and he doesn't have to hold it up. It really is the little things that make the big things happen.
Returning to modern-day Leeds, after telling the florist that she would not be getting roses this year, Kate awkwardly received a different kind of attention: according to The Independent, "The princess also received unwanted attention in the form of a wolf whistle as she strolled through the market. The princess did not react, and it was unclear whether she even heard the sound.
Less wolf whistling and more umbrella chivalry, please.
