It's safe to say Rihanna knows how to stage a big upset, and in her first performance since the 2018 Grammy Awards, the singer took to the world's biggest stage, aka the Super Bowl halftime show, on February 12. Dressed head-to-toe in a head-to-toe red dress with a killer boiler suit and breastplate, RiRi performed some of her biggest hits, including "Bitch Better Have My Money," "We Found Love," and "Umbrella."

There is one moment in RiRi's performance that will live rent-free in our heads for the next few weeks, if not forever: a tribute to Fenty Beauty. Midway through the performance, the Fenty Beauty founder received a compact from a back-up dancer and stopped for a quick touch-up of the brand's Invisimat Instant Setting + Blotting Powder (opens in new tab). Rihanna introduced her beauty brand on the world's most legendary stage.

Before the halftime show, Rihanna was focused on her performance. Sunday, this is the time," she said. I was so focused on the Super Bowl that I completely forgot that my birthday was coming up. I forgot about Valentine's Day," she admitted at a pre-show press conference.

And the nearly 13-minute set was no easy task to prepare. The physical challenge was immense, of course, for so many reasons," Rihanna said. 'I didn't do a minute of this, just 13 minutes of running around, trying to do a two-hour set in 13 minutes. Once the show starts, it doesn't end until the last second. ...... It's a jam-packed show, and it takes a toll on your body, really." Needless to say, Rihanna's rep admitted shortly after the performance that she is pregnant with her second child.

We're going to go ahead and say that all of that hard work paid off, because Rihanna absolutely came through.
