Prince Charles will not hold "peace talks" with Harry and Meghan before coronation, royal experts insist.
[Whether or not Prince Harry and Meghan Markle show up for the coronation in May, it seems unlikely that they will talk to King Charles before then.
The royal family is reportedly reeling after the publication of Prince Harry's memoir, Spare, but reports are circulating that Prince Charles intends to hold "peace talks" with the Sussexes to clear up any misunderstandings. Not so, says Omid Scobie.
"Honestly, I don't think people even know if Harry and Meghan are going [to the coronation].
"I've seen reports that there will be some sort of family summit before it so that Prince Charles can talk to Harry and Meghan."
"From what I have heard from my sources, this is not true at all."
The Sun previously reported that "Royal sources believe that Harry will fly in from the US to meet King Charles and Prince William and that peace talks could take place in the coming months."
"One source believes that relations are "repairable" but "will require flexibility on all sides."
Meanwhile, a source told The Sunday Times (opens in new tab), "We need Harry here in the room with the King, the Prince of Wales, and several other family members. Both of them need to raise their hands and admit that we didn't get everything right and got a lot of things wrong."

If Scobie is correct, it seems that the Sussexes have two less than ideal options: skip the coronation altogether or show up knowing that everyone there is mad at them. Yikes.
