Are Seulgi and Jung Woo still together after "Hell of a Single" Season 2?

"Singles Inferno" Season 2 spoilers ahead. The Korean reality dating show "Singles Inferno" ended with three couples leaving paradise together. Shin Seul-gi was the most popular of the season 2 cast of Netflix's hit "Singles Inferno" from the beginning. She had several suitors throughout her run on the show, but male contestant Choi Jung Woo was always by her side, even as she explored other connections. In this week's two-episode finale, Jung-woo finally got the chance to show her his true self, and his unwavering love ultimately drew her away from the bad boy Jin-young.

One of the most interesting aspects of this inferno half of the hit reality show is that the contestants do not share their age or occupation. Instead, they must make connections based on their attractiveness and personality (which makes even more sense given how much work is involved in Korean dating culture). The only time the performers can learn personal information about each other is when they arrive in paradise as a couple.

Seulgi is one of the first contestants to go to Paradise, and we soon learn that she is a piano major at Seoul National University (the Korean equivalent of Harvard University). She is 25 years of age in Korea and has won the Miss Chunhyang (open in new tab) pageant, which celebrates traditional Korean beauty.

Jung Woo's occupation has been one of the mysteries of the season, but we finally learn in episode 9 that he works as a barista in a family-owned cafe. His coffee shop is located in Gangwon-do (Gangwon Province) and is famous for its super sweet corn coffee. He is 25 years old, the same age as Seulgi.

In the first half of the season, Jung-woo remained loyal and respectful to Seul-gi and tried to spend as much time as possible with her at Inferno. Initially, the college girl explored her relationship with Dong-woo, a surgeon, and Jin-yeon, a veteran surgeon, and a love triangle soon developed between Seul-gi, Jin-yeon, and Jung-woo. The barista finally got a chance to choose her for one last trip to paradise when she came in second place in a fierce wrestling match ahead of Jin-yeong. During their date, Barista had the chance to charm Surgi. Back at Inferno, Jin-young kept her feelings hidden, but Jung-woo was in love with Seul-gi from the start.

On her last day at Inferno, Seulgi had three suitors: Dong-woo, who Seulgi said was the only one who made her heart sing; Jin-young, who admittedly was not good at expressing her feelings; and Jung-woo, who followed his heart, knowing that she might not choose him anyway. In the end, she thanked Jung-woo for being faithful to her all along and chose to leave him.

In her final confession, she said, "I thought that someone who was like a friend and who made me relax might be the last person I could show my true self to." He was always the first to approach me. So now I want to tell him that I want to be the first to approach him."

Although they have not directly admitted to dating, Seulgi and Jung Woo have at least made their friendship official on Instagram. Jung Woo posted an adorable photobooth photo on his account yesterday, in which he and Seulgi are posing as a cute couple wearing anime hats. In addition to this post, Seulgi's Instagram (open in new tab) mainly features selfies and artistic shots, while Jung Woo's (open in new tab) features photos of himself and his friends. Jung Woo also included a very cute photo of Seulgi and Soe making hearts (opens in new tab) in his post reflecting on the show.

We actually got a big hint about the couple's status courtesy of Netflix Korea's YouTube channel The Swoon. The channel uploaded a two-part reunion special, in which the actors watch episodes 1-8 for the first time and give previously unheard details about their time in "Inferno". In the second half, Seul-gi and Jung-woo watch footage of their date with Jin-young for the first time, interspersed with words that show how much they care about each other.

Jung-woo's opinion is first heard, "I'm glad we just held hands." Hanbin, the jokester, quickly releases the tension by pointing out that he was sitting between Jung Woo and Jin Young "so they wouldn't fight." After Surugi reacted to this image, he remembered that Jung Woo would be watching this video." Look away, Jung Woo". This reaction is more that of a couple wanting to defend their partner's opinion than of a former flame.
