Jennifer Garner Responds to Jennifer Coolidge's Wish to Play a Dolphin, and No One Can Stop Laughing

Never mind the Golden Globes or the Critics' Choice Awards, Jennifer Coolidge is arguably the best celebrity award nominee of all time.

On the Golden Globes red carpet, the "White Lotus" star was asked what her absolute dream role was, to which she replied, completely out of the blue (but, as far as I can tell, completely seriously), "I always wanted to play a dolphin."

The interviewer was surprised and asked, "Like Flipper?" I replied.

Another famous Jennifer, Garner, saw the clip and delivered an important message to Coolidge. [Garner, the "13 Going on 30" actress, pieced together the clip of Coolidge's flipper interview with a clip from the late 90s TV series "Fantasy Island.

In a video she posted on Instagram, Garner wrote: "I'm so excited to be a part of this! I have these roles! Maybe you remember me as "Sally the Dolphin" in the 1998 reboot of Fantasy Island: ......."

By the way, "Fantasy Island" appears to be completely unhinged. In it, Garner's character transforms from a real dolphin to a woman in a silver one-piece bathing suit. Upon seeing this transformation, the man who had been courting her exclaims, "You're a dolphin!!!" and walks away.

I mean, what the heck!

Looking at the comments, people were appropriately appreciative of this pop culture historical moment.

One person said, "I literally can't stop laughing, I've seen it twice, and I've seen it twice more. This is perfect."

Someone said, "Silver dress = dolphin body."

"OMG that' a winner right there Jen G," another blue-tinted friend of Garner wrote.

Even more surprisingly, Kristin Davis said, "Jen not only remembers you playing the dolphin beautifully, she remembers sitting in the waiting room with you for that audition!" He commented.

Filmmaker Olivia Wilde is also apparently on board to cast Coolidge as the dolphin.
