Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton's first Christmas card as the crown prince and princess may be their most casual yet. In a low-key portrait by photographer Matt Porteus, the prince and princess and their three children (George, Charlotte, and Louis) walk hand in hand outside the Anmer Hall estate in Norfolk.
This photo shows the Welsh couple more casually, mostly wearing denim: Kate and William in jeans and button-up shirts, Charlotte and Louis in denim shorts. Prince George, in his slightly different role as heir to the throne, wears a polo shirt and shorts.
The annual Christmas card reveal, a long-standing holiday tradition for the royal family (Camilla and Charles revealed theirs a few days earlier), is a particularly thorny time for the royal family; the second part of the Netflix documentary "Harry & Meghan" will be released later this year and is expected to be explosive. In the latest trailer, Harry says of William, "They were willing to lie to protect their brother.
The Royal Family's turmoil is unlikely to end after the Queen's death this fall; Harry's memoir, Spare: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy's Fight for Survival) will be published in January (late 2023) It is expected to be published in late 2023.
