Samantha Markle Allegedly Owned 12 Twitter Accounts Trolling Meghan, Lawyer Claims Hacked

In 2021, Twitter analytics service Bot Sentinel discovered an organized hate campaign against Meghan Markle.

Bot Sentinel reported that 70% of the hateful tweets directed at the Duchess of Sussex were attributed to just 83 accounts.

Among the accounts that directed troll messages at Princess Meghan were 12 accounts that appeared to belong to her half-sister Samantha, who is not related to her (incidentally, it is unclear if these 12 accounts are included in the 83 in the report).

"Samantha had her account suspended and 11 more accounts, so we sent the list to Twitter," Christopher Busey, founder and CEO of Bot Sentinel, said on Netflix's "Harry & Megan" (via OK!)

"And we were baffled by this. How can Meghan's half-sister be part of a hate group?"

According to Samantha Markle's lawyer, Samantha's Twitter account was never "suspended" but was "hacked," resulting in the creation of a "fake account" created by a third party to smear his client.

Samantha's lawyer told the magazine at the time that "Samantha's Twitter account appears to have been hacked, someone changed her password, and some of the Twitter screenshots that appeared in the media very recently appear to have been altered or Photoshopped."

"However, due to the urgency of this issue, we are still investigating."

"We are still investigating.

Samantha has repeatedly and very publicly criticized her half-sister, including publishing a memoir titled "Princess Pussy's Sister's Diary - Part 1" (opens in new tab) In March 2022, it was revealed that Samantha is suing Meghan for defamation. Meghan filed to dismiss the suit, but her motion was denied, Us Weekly reported.

Despite this, Meghan was able to form a close bond with Samantha's biological daughter, Ashley Hale.
