Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Reveal First Dance Song at 2018 Wedding in New "Harry & Meghan" Trailer

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are known for being quite romantic, sweet, and lovey-dovey (which is not a bad thing!) -but for their first dance at their May 19, 2018 wedding, they chose a fast-paced, upbeat, fun song over a slower love song, as revealed in the new trailer for "Harry & Meghan" The two chose Wilson Pickett's 1966 hit, " Land of 1000 Dances," and Meghan admits that she often forgets the name of this song: "I always get it wrong," she said.

The trailer released yesterday shows a sample clip of a couple dancing to the song, as Meghan recalls, "It was so much fun. We were spinning like a whirlwind," Meghan recalled. Harry and Meghan's private evening wedding reception took place at Frogmore House, where Meghan wore a Stella McCartney gown and her late mother-in-law Princess Diana's aquamarine ring (which she wore again this week in New York) to great success. Harry wore a tuxedo and the two danced on the dance floor.

"We just wanted the music to be fun," Meghan said.

"Even our first dance," Meghan said. Meghan sang the lyrics to the song in the new trailer, "That was our first dance. It was so much fun." [According to People, then-Prince Charles hosted the reception, which was attended by 200 of his closest friends and family. The private event followed the wedding at St. George's Chapel at Windsor Castle. [Idris Elba DJ'd, George Clooney served drinks to guests, and Serena Williams played beer pong, making it a night to remember. Harry and Meghan also reportedly gave a speech thanking the guests for attending, mixing humor with their trademark sweetness.

"It was a huge dance party," a source told People about the reception at the time.

"Everyone was free-spirited, and it was a big party. It was just a fun night, and there was no formality at all."
