Read MoreIn the end, the two-year wait for "Manifest" Season 4 Part 1 was worth it. The first part of the series' final season, and the first season of the Netflix exclusive, gave fans everything they were looking for: intrigue, sentimentality, and answers (well, some answers) about Flight 828. But Netflix and creator Jeff Lake left viewers with one heck of a cliffhanger in the ending of part 1, much like Lake did with "Manifest" season 3: When will "Manifest" season 4 part 2 be released?
Well, in short: Rake and Netflix have not offered a hint. However; both Rake and Netflix have a habit of making major announcements on pivotal dates in the series' lore. For example, the series renewal announcement was made on August 28, 2021, and the first trailer was released on August 28, 2022.
Following the logic of past announcements, the tentative (and, to be clear, highly unconfirmed) release date for part 2 of season 4 of "Manifest" would be June 2, 2023.
Why, June 2 is the oft-quoted "Day of Death," which was especially important in the first part of the fourth season. Technically, the "date of death" is not June 2, 2023, but June 2, 2024, as each character mentions about a million times, but June 2024 is over a year and a half after the release of Part 1. This seems like a very long time to wait for the second part of a single season. (For example, parts 1 and 2 of the fifth season of "Lucifer," another Netflix mega-hit, were released less than a year apart.) Netflix is not likely to leave a year and a half gap between "Manifest" Part 1 and Part 2:
so June 2, 2023 seems the most likely date. Not only is this release date a subtle nod to the "Death Date" that stands in the way of 828-ers, but it is also an appropriate period of time away from the release date of Season 4 Part 1 (November 4, 2022 - coincidentally, the day Flight 828 landed in New York on the show). (As I said, the manifesto's lore is heavily weighted toward the release date.)
But what if we are wrong? If the release date is not June 4, 2023, then the release date for Season 4 Part 2 will most likely be April 7, 2023, because April 7 is the date Flight 828 went missing. It is also a reasonable time frame from the release of the first part of the season, six months after the release of part one.
"Manifest" season 4, part 1 spoilers. The season ended with the death of Mikaela's beloved husband, Zeke. He spiraled as things got darker and, well, he kept feeling everything. Zeke sacrificed himself to save Cal, whose cancer returned late in the season and whose condition rapidly deteriorated. Both Cal and Angelina channeled the Omega Sapphire (in Angelina's case, literally absorbing it into her skin), and the season ends with the Stone family's realization that the "Day of Death" is not only their death, but the death of everyone in the world.
Speaking to TV Guide, creator Jeff Lake teased the last part: "It's up to Ben, Mick, and possibly Cal to take Angelina down. The problem is that Angelina is becoming more and more powerful. We saw how strong she is in episode 410, and it just keeps getting worse."
[16The second part of Season 4 will be 10 episodes, the same as the first part, ending the series and meaning there will be no manifesto Season 5.
"Manifesto" Season 4 Part 1 is available on Netflix.
