Princess Charlotte learns to paint from Lady Windsor

It is said that there is nothing stronger than the bond between cousins. Cousins are often the ones you learn the most from and rely on the most as you grow up. So it is very nice that the tradition exists within the royal family. The connection between Princess Charlotte and her cousin Lady Louise Windsor seems to grow stronger with each family trip.

In anticipation of the family's annual vacation to Balmoral, Queen Elizabeth's estate in the Scottish Highlands (long considered one of Queen Elizabeth's favorite places in the world), the Mirror has published details of Charlotte's time with her older cousin Louise and her tells about a new skill she is imparting to the young royal of many talents: teaching her to paint.

The scene-stealing Charlotte has grown closer to 18-year-old Louise on these family trips over the past few years, and while everyone is on vacation in the Highlands, Louise is happily playing babysitter to Kate and William. And according to sources close to the family, Louise loves to paint and has inspired Charlotte to try painting herself. According to The Sun, Louise, who is said to be the queen's favorite grandchild, was revealed to "love drawing and sketching and was very patient in trying to get Charlotte to draw rabbits and deer."

In addition, "because of her obvious artistic skills, the Queen allowed Louise to look through some of Queen Victoria's collection of Highland sketches, which are kept at Balmoral but are seldom dug up these days."

Charlotte may also have the opportunity to look at the sketches for inspiration when the family heads to Balmoral this year.
