Read MoreMeghan Markle is apparently ready to get back to work (opens in new tab).
(opens in new tab)The Sun (opens in new tab)The Duchess of Sussex (opens in new tab) is already holding meetings to return to acting after her royal abdication becomes official, according to a new report.
According to the paper, Meghan has been taking phone calls and meetings (opens in new tab) to prepare for her return to acting and has been in contact with "a number of entertainment agents from her new base on Vancouver Island" in Canada.
This does not mean that Meghan will return to "Suits" the moment her and Prince Harry's royal exit (opens in new tab) becomes official later this month (opens in new tab), but sources close to the Duchess say she could return to work as early as this fall
"It's not a sign that she will be returning to Suits.
"Meghan is aiming for around September or October," a friend told The Sun. 'For now, she loves spending time with Archie and getting used to her new life with Harry back in Canada. But Meghan continues to have great ambitions and is very positive about returning to the acting career she knows, loves, and does best."
[10As for the type of work Megan is interested in, sources say she is considering a change of pace into the world of non-fiction (not reality TV (open in new tab)).
"Her preference is to explore documentary avenues where she can follow some of the activities that interest her," the source said. This hope is the focus of her recent meetings and will shape the kind of work Megan's agent will ask her to do." She is very excited about what the future holds."
This coincides with recent news (opens in new tab) that Meghan has signed a voiceover contract with Disney (opens in new tab), where she will narrate a nature documentary for the entertainment giant in exchange for a donation to the charity, Elephants Without Borders (opens in new tab).
Another source also spoke about where Harry and Meghan will put down roots after leaving (opens in new tab). Los Angeles was once high on the list of candidates, but security concerns (open in new tab) (and the financial burden of addressing those concerns) apparently made it unlikely to be chosen as the couple's primary residence. Vancouver Island (open in new tab), where the Sussexes are staying in Canada (open in new tab), may become their permanent home base.
"The bill for their safety in LA will be enormous," said one source.
"Also, they will be in the spotlight, and they will be chased by the paparazzi. One of the best things about moving to Vancouver Island was that Harry and Meghan were able to maintain their privacy."For more stories like this, including celebrity news, beauty and fashion advice, savvy political commentary, and fascinating features, sign up for the Marie Claire newsletter.
