Tom Hanks "feeling better" two weeks after first coronavirus infection with Rita Wilson

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have sent us some happy news (opens in new tab)! Two weeks after the couple first showed symptoms of coronavirus, Hanks said on Twitter that they are both "better." He then emphasized the importance of social distancing and protecting quarantine because he is the leader we need in this crisis. 'Shelter-in-Place is like this: you don't give it to anyone, you don't take it from anyone. Isn't that common sense?"

"It will take a while, but if we look out for each other, help where we can, and give up our comforts... . this too will pass," he continued. We can work this out."

Hanks' last update (opens in new tab) came after he and Wilson were released from a hospital in Queensland, Australia, last week. 'Good news: good news: a week after the positive test, he is self-isolating, but his symptoms are much the same. No fever, but fatigue. Folding laundry and doing the dishes, I end up napping on the couch," he wrote on Instagram (along with a photo of his once beloved typewriter, branded with the unfortunate branding "Corona").

"Bad news: my wife @ritawilson has won 6 in a row at Gin Rummy and leads by 201 points," he continued. Important question: what's up on the scoreboard, Tom and Rita?
