Sources close to the Duchess of Sussex (open in new tab) told the Daily Mail (open in new tab) that she has become even more cautious in recent days since news that her father-in-law, Prince Charles, tested positive for the virus (open in new tab) She said.
"Princess Meghan said that the news about Prince Charles has everyone on edge."
"She said she was worried about herself and Harry's health because she didn't want Archie to catch anything.
One of the most significant changes Princess Meghan has made (open in new tab) is the policy she has thoroughly enforced with staff working with the family during the quarantine period. Even before Prince Charles' diagnosis (open in new tab), Meghan had required her staff to wear latex gloves, but has since adopted several additional safety measures.
"Staff who go outdoors on errands must leave their shoes in a designated area outside, along with their coats and jackets," explained a source to the Daily Mail. 'All produce must be washed with soap and water, and boxes must never be brought into the house. Everything ordered is opened outside and wiped down before being brought into the quarters. Also, staff members who go out on errands must wear face masks at all times".
The precautions are strict, but they are deliberate, and according to sources, "Princess Meghan said she would rather be too cautious than not."
Still, despite growing concerns about the spread of the virus, Princess Meghan (opens in new tab) had contact with Charles earlier this month, and thus may have been exposed to the virus, and for her and her family, special such as access to coronavirus testing She is not interested in using her celebrity status to obtain treatment.
"Princess Meghan said she would be relieved to be tested [for coronavirus], but since she has no symptoms, she will just continue to take a large dose of vitamin C along with other supplements to strengthen her immune system and continue taking care of her health," the source said.
That is not to say, however, that isolation was easy for the royal family. The friend added that both Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry (open in new tab), are "frustrated" that more cannot be done at this time.
