If you haven't yet heard Beyoncé and Megan Seastallion's "Savage Remix," take a four minute and two second break from this article and allow yourself to listen to this song in all its perfection. Then take another minute to quietly apologize to both Bay and Meg and vow to listen to it better and faster in the future.

"Come back with me, get well, and be transformed forever," you'll notice that Beyoncé pays tribute to a legendary figure in the remix: her mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson. "My mama was a savage." I got this shit from Tina!"

Knowles-Lawson, understandably, was overjoyed by the shoutout and shared the clip on Instagram. She wrote, "Haaaa!!!!!!!!!" and captioned the post, " Definition of a savage: "Who taught you to be a savage? Family law expert: Is there literally any way I can be adopted by this family?

Another reason to stream "Savage Remix": proceeds will go to Bread of Life, a Houston charity that provides meals to the homeless and low-income during the coronavirus outbreak. Last week, Beyonce announced a $6 million donation (opens in new tab) for coronavirus relief efforts. Bread of Life was one of nine community organizations to which she donated money, as well as UCLA and Houston hospital United Memorial Medical Center.
